This four-week series, Keep In Step, looks at what Galatians 5 tells us about walking in the Spirit. As the Father is, so we are meant to be. We see throughout the New Testament that we can only be like the Father by imitating the life of the Son and walking hand in hand with the Spirit. This series will consider ways to "keep in step with the Spirit" (Galatians 5:25) through the new year.
As we begin to explore this idea of "keeping in step with the Spirit," it is important that we remind ourselves of the truth that forms the foundation of our faith: we cannot do it in our own power.
The very beginning of keeping in step with the Spirit is realizing that we do not bear the weight of our relationship with Him. We are meant simply to fall in step with Him. He sets the direction and the gait of our walk; we merely participate.
